first blog

So, I've been blogging on Myspace for quite awhile now, and I'm just finding Myspace to me more and more like email- lots of spam and very little of real value. While I've found quite a few old friends through Myspace, I don't really ever talk to the majority of them anyway. I've actually gotten together with some old friends, which is great, but by and large, other than the initial how-do-ya-do's, most of my Myspace friends remain just photographs and names on my page. It's probably partially my fault, but to be fair, upon initial contact, I believe that I've always at least posed at least one open-ended question, which tends to fall unanswered by the way-side.

Anyway, such is my long-winded way of saying that I will be posting my past Myspace blogs here, and see if any interest is drummed up. It may not be entirely fair to the random reader who wanders by and happens to see a blog about snow in St. Louis, in July, but I believe that blogs should be give and take, and I'm not willing to give too much unless I see that people are genuinely interested enough to take. I will go ahead and post new blogs as I post them on Myspace as well, and I'll try to point out that the old blogs are just that. If this works out, then I'll use Blogger as my primary medium.

Oh, one last note for those who are as impatient as I am- I do not blog daily. I tend not to blog even weekly. I'm a 28 year old married man with a wonderful wife and a great puppy. I have a house, a car, and a regular job doing computer work. My life's just not interesting enough for a daily blog, and I respect you (and all complete strangers) too much to feign otherwise and expose you to boring minutiae.
